Während Abwärtskompatibilität und die Performance der Xbox One X die primären Verkaufsargumente von Microsoft sind, kann Sony vor allem eine lange Liste mit exklusiven Spielen vorweisen. Das ist auch 2018 wieder der Fall, denn im Laufe des Jahres werden viele Spiele auf den Markt kommen, die anderen Konsolen vorenthalten bleiben. Einige der Spiele wie der Steampunk-Shooter Guns of Icarus Alliance sind zusätzlich noch für PC erhältlich. Xbox One- und Switch-Gamer schauen aber durch die Finger. Die höchsten Erwartungen haben Fans vermutlich an The Last of Us: Part II und God of War. Auch Detroit: Become Human und Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT haben das Potential zum Hit.
