Bluehole Studios stellt einen ersten Patch für die Xbox One-Version von PUBG bereit. Die Performance wird verbessert, aber auch ein Feature entfernt.
Der Start der Xbox One-Version des Battle Royale-Shooters Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds ging nicht nur mit hohen Verkaufszahlen, sondern auch mit Performance-Problemen einher. Mit einer durchschnittlichen Framerate von 25,6 fps bei 1080p auf der Xbox One S und 27,6 fps bei 4K auf der XBox One X blieb das Spiel hinter dem versprochenen Wert von stabilen 30 fps zurück. Gemessen wurden diese Werte von Digital Foundry während einer 22-minütigen Partie.
Obwohl es sich um eine Preview-Version, also ein Early-Access-Produkt handelt, sind die Erwartungen der Spieler aufgrund der Versprechen im Vorfeld hoch. Daher haben die Entwickler auch eilig ein Update veröffentlicht, um die Performance zu steigern. Mit dem Patch wurden außerdem einige Animationen überarbeitet und Bugs beseitigt. Ein Feature wurde allerdings auch gestrichen: Auf Tastatur-Unterstützung müssen Spieler jetzt verzichten.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed instances of player nametags not properly displaying in the lobby during Squad and Duo play
- Fixed minor animation while crouching and prone
- Fixed issues where curtains on windows block line of sight of players in the TPP mode
- Fixed an issue where when Squad leader left the party, voice chat ceased to function as intended
- Fixed issue where players could lean out of vehicles even when obstructed
- Fixed collision of cardboard boxes in Yasnaya city
- Fixed typo in the controller guide
